Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is local knowledge important for a strata manager?

Yes.  It helps the strata manager understand council requirements, local trades, and property conditions.  It also makes site attendance and communication much easier.

Yes. Compliance support is a major reason strata schemes appoint a strata manager. Professional Strata Managers remain up to date with the continually evolving legislation to help you stay on top of legal obligations, insurance requirements, and operational responsibilities.

A strata manager will commonly assist with Annual General Meetings and can attend committee meetings depending on your owners corporation service level agreement. Strata managers help with agendas, minutes, and procedural guidance.

Strata managers guide communication and support the committee in handling disputes according to legislative requirements. At no time should the Strata Manager take on the role of a personal advocate for any one owner but rather help the scheme follow the correct steps consistently, professionally and fairly.
